Pakistan hands over captured BSF personnel to India

Pakistan released the Border Security Force (BSF) trooper today at 4.35 pm in R S Pura sector of Jammu division, and has been handed over to Indian authorities.

Satyasheel Yadav, 30, was arrested by Pakistan Rangers at Kuleil village in Sialkot’s Bajwat sector on Wednesday when, according to him, the boat he was in strayed into Pakistan’s territory after losing control due to strong river currents.

The Inspector General of BSF, Rakesh Sharma confirmed to The Kashmir Walla that the BSF trooper has been released. “He is stable and we have got him back,” Sharma said.

Earlier the Inspector General of BSF, Rakesh Sharma had told The Kashmir Walla that the BSF had a flag meeting with the Rangers and they were successful. “We are in touch with the Pakistan Rangers and have got good response. We are hopeful that our trooper will be handed back to us sooner.”
