A group of stone throwers calling itself, Sangbaaz (Stone Pelter’s) Force has extended its support to Mutahida Majlise Mashawrat (MMM)- the joint forum of separatist parties in Kashmir, saying the force was committed to follow the programs being issued by the joint forum.
A person identifying himself as Abu Huzaifa, spokesman of the force, told a news agency over phone on Tuesday that the youth were ready to offer any kind of sacrifices for the Kashmir cause and urged MMM leadership to revisit the protest calendar in the next 48 hours.
The spokesman also appealed MMM leadership to include the ‘quit Kashmir’ and ‘boycotting of Made in India products’ in their agenda.
Earlier, in December, a 7 page statement was sent to the media organisations of valley, by an organisation calling itself Kashmir Sangbaz League (KSL) saying that if Afzal Guru was hanged, they will start the wide spread attacks on forces’ installations and key government buildings.
The group had given name of a number of places, claiming to be attacked in the Valley, like Secretariat and Radio Stations besides state police’s installations. “Lack of resources has forced us to adopt stone-pelting as a weapon of war. We have been fighting with mere stones launched by tender hands and fearless hearts,” read the statement, written under the letter-head of KSL with sketch of a masked stone-throwing youth.
