Full Coverage of Launch of the Book ‘Until My Freedom Has Come’

The Kashmir Walla presents the full coverage of the launch of the book Until My Freedom Has Come: The New Intifada in Kashmir edited by noted filmmaker, Sanjay Kak. The event was at Hotel Grand Mumtaz, Srinagar, Kashmir on June 12, 2011 from 3 pm to 5 pm. The panelists who spoke were the author of the novel, The Collaborator , Mirza Waheed, editor of the book, Sanjay Kakak, Scholar, Saiba Verma, Scholar, Mohamad Junaid, Journalist with Economic Times, Najeeb Mubarki and was mediated by noted journalist of valley, Parvaiz Bukhari. After the discussion the event was interactive when the panel answered to audience questions.

With contributions from journalists, academics, an artist, and a rapper, Until My Freedom Has Come: The New Intifada in Kashmir is a timely collection of some of the most exciting writing that has recently emerged from within Kashmir, and about it. The book is an anthology of the said pieces which were written during public protests, in 2010, in the valley.
