Jammu and Kashmir Police on Wednesday claimed to have arrested three WhatsApp group admins for allegedly spreading rumors and fabricated information to mislead the people, police said. After a joint team of Jammu and Kashmir Police, CRPF and Army, on December 28, started an encounter in the Bubgam village of Pulwama district (in Kashmir) and claimed killing of the two local militants of the Lashkar-e-Toiba outfit, they opened indiscriminate firing on the protesters too, as per the locals, which resulted in injuring at least 15 civilians badly.
