After the continuous airstrikes on Gaza, Palestine, the Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has said he has instructed the military to begin a ground offensive in Gaza. The bombing has been now going on for ten days. According to the health officials of Gaza at least 229 Palestinians, mostly civilians, have been killed since the bombing began. After series of protests rocked Kashmir valley against Israel’s strikes upon Gaza, the Israel government for the first time in history has issued travel advisory for the valley- asking its citizens not to visit the region. The ongoing anti-Israel protests in Kashmir University on regular basis has reportedly forced the varsity authorities to announce summer vacation. The Dean Academics Office has issued a notification declaring Summer Vacation for the students and staff of the varsity. The notification reads that the Kashmir University will remain closed from July 18 to July 31 and during this period there will be no classes. “Yes, University will remain closed from July 18 to 31 and the classes will resume on the first day of August,” Dean Academics, Professor Muhammad Ashraf Wani said.. Gaza City:  New Israeli air strikes in Gaza on early on Wednesday killed several people, medics said, bringing the death toll from Israel’s operation in the besieged Palestinian territory to 202. A strike on a house in the southern city of Rafah killed two men, emergency services spokesman Ashraf al-Qudra told AFP, and a separate raid killed a young man who witnesses said was an Islamic Jihad militant. Another Rafah strike shortly afterwards left one man dead, Qudra said, while a raid on the home of Mohammed al-Arjani in the southern city of Khan Yunis killed his son Abdullah, 19.

The Jammu and Kashmir Police, Monday, arrested a local youth hailing from Nowpora, Sopore town of North Kashmir after he participated in the anti-Israel protests last night.
