In a move to attract filmmakers to the Valley, Jammu and Kashmir government has set up a single window clearance system for granting permission within seven days for shooting movies in Kashmir. “We have established a single window clearance system for film shoots in Kashmir. These permissions will be granted within seven days of application,” Commissioner Secretary Tourism, Jammu and Kashmir government Shailendra Kumar told PTI. Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed had earlier visited Mumbai to promote the state as a prime tourist destination and shooting location for movies.
