At least 35 people have been killed and nearly 150 injured due to heavy rains and windstorm in Peshawar on Sunday, ARY News reported.
According to the details emerging from reports, severe storm hammered different areas of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa including Peshawar, Charsadda and Naushera, followed by heavy rains on Sunday.
“Roofs were blown off several houses as heavy winds hit parts of the province today, collapsing walls and poles there. As a consequence, at least 35 people were killed and nearly 150 injured in different incidents,” reports confirmed.
ARY News reported that the officials of the Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) were reported absent and people were said to be carrying out relief activities on their own.
