The Jammu Kashmir Liberation Front (JKLF) chairman Mohammad Yasin Malik Monday alleged playing with the lives of innocent youth has become a routine job of trigger happy Indian forces.

“These kinds of massacres are not acceptable to any civilized society and people of Kashmir today want to ask India and its Kashmiri puppets that why are they hell bent on killing our innocents and why are they pushing our new generations to the wall,” Malik said, while addressing a joint condolence resistance rally at Narbal today.

Besides Malik, the rally was addressed by chairman Hurriyat (G) Syed Ali Geelani   and Chairman Hurriyat (M) Mirwaiz Molvi Mohammad Umar Farooq.

Before the joint rally, Malik and other leaders visited the bereaved family of Suhail Ahmad Sofi who was killed by forces recently.

While addressing the gathering at Narbal which was attended by men, women, youth and elders of the area, Malik said, “Today we are here jointly expressing our heartfelt grief to the bereaved family of innocent Suhail Ahmad Sofi who was brutalized by trigger free Indian soldiers on April 18. Budding youth are the source of energy for nations but alas our budding flowers are been trampled by Indian forces.”

While condemning the killing, he said, “Blood stains of Tral innocents Shaheed Khalid Muzafar and Shaheed Mohammad Younis are still fresh and wounds are still bleeding and we have received another corpse of Suhail. I want to ask Indian rulers and their Kashmiri puppets that how long will this killing spree continue? Why are Indians hell bent upon pushing our young generations towards violent path by killing these young ones in non violent peaceful struggle and thus choking space for peaceful political activities.”

The JKLF chairman said that freedom “is our right and our struggle for freedom will continue and nothing can deter us from marching towards freedom.”

While citing the examples of 2008, 2009, 2010 and 2011, Malik said, “These very forces killed hundreds of our youth during peaceful resistance struggle and now in 2015 this phenomenon has gain started and our young ones are felling to the bullets of trigger happy Indian forces. Non violent political movement needs space but so called democratic India instead of providing that space is hell-bent upon choking that space. When you choke space for peaceful political struggle you are actually promoting violence by pushing young boys to the wall.”

While stressing on the need of steadfastness and resolve, Malik asked people to understand the hypocritical politics of pro-India parties and politicians who for the lust of power are harming the cause of Kashmiris and are responsible for these massacres. He advised people and especially the youth to strengthen peaceful struggle and remain vigilant against the conspiracies hatched against freedom struggle.

While expressing solidarity with the bereaved family of Suhail, he said that whole Kashmiri nation is behind them and shares their pain and agony.

Meanwhile, Malik while remembering Asiya Jeelani on her martyrdom anniversary, paid rich tributes to great lady who laid down her life while safeguarding the human rights of Kashmiris. He said that Asiya Jeelani was a young sister who at her tender age chose the path of thorns and sacrificed her life for truth and justice.
