J-K CM promotes tourism in Mumbai

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Mufti Mohammad Sayeed today arrived in Mumbai to promote State’s tourism industry. He will be holding discussions with tour and travel operators and people from Bollywood in the city.

The visit is to seek their support in restoring Kashmir as a favorite tourist destination and also attract film industries to the Valley as an ideal location for film shooting.

According to a government statement, Sayeed will hold interactive sessions in Hotel Taj Land’s End today afternoon and later at tonight’s dinner he will meet leading figures of Bollywood.

The chief minister has taken a few members of his cabinet along, including Dy. CM Dr. Nirmal Singh, Finance Minister Dr. Haseeb A Darbu, Minister for IT Imran Ansari, Principal Secretary to Chief Minister, B. B. Vyas, Commissioner / Secretary Tourism and MD JKTDC.

He is also scheduled to visit Ahmedabad on May 2 and New Delhi on May 3 for the promotion of tourism.
