As the attempts to rescue and take relief to affected people continue in Kashmir after the massive floods, people are angry against the government in response of delaying rescue operations and not reaching out to all. Srinagar city remains submerged as can be seen in the pictures, the water level in Lal Chowk is almost 6 feet. Several groups from India and within Kashmir are doing their best to send relief and supplies to the affected region. Reportedly, tens of thousands of people are yet to be rescued and there is a major shortage of medicines, food, and drinking water. People have been trapped for days without food and water to drink. The Kashmir Walla continues to report from Kashmir.

I think we all kashmiri should join our hands ,and try to rebuilt our kashmir and forget past it is gone. But should now think about our those homes which we have lost.we have to rebuilt them together.Take every family loss as personal and do every thing to get them back in life.if good time was not long lasthing ,so how shall this hard time remain their for ever. i promise i will inshall do maximum ,more than i could do it to help my brothers and sisters.

Like many of us I have been through it all! Fear, despair, waitiing on my rooftop with my son, seeing my neighbors sick, elderly, infants all around me on their roofs when water was ferociously roaring towards us . No help . But this survival and miraculous escape from death , seeing the scale of desaster at psychogical, emotional and financial levels, around me today has left me with a great resolve that all of us must rise and kashmir wil shine,Inshallah.
