Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief Amit Shah is scheduled to arrive Jammu and Kashmir on his maiden visit ever since he became the party president later this month.
Reports said that Amit Shah will address a public rally in Kathua district of Jammu region on August 25. Amit Shah’s rally would be run up to state assembly elections to be held later this year.
The BJP is running its “Mission 44” in the upcoming state assembly elections to form the next government. He however made a statement that he wants to see a Hindu chief minister in the state.
Meanwhile, in an attempt to widen its base and outreach to people of Jammu and Kashmir in the forthcoming state assembly elections, BJP on Friday also launched an SMS number service at the party headquarters.
