12th Assembly session begins, condemns Gaza killings

The last session of the 12th Legislative Assembly in Jammu and Kashmir began on Monday that was adjourned after passing obituary reference in favor of those who departed between 11th and 12th Assembly session.

During the proceedings, the Assembly while condemning the killings of innocent Palestine people mostly children and women at the hands of Israeli State passed an obituary reference in favor of those four political leaders who passed away between 11th and 12th assembly session.

The Legislative Assembly condemned the Israeli assault on Gaza while Speaker Mubarak Gul expressed grief over the innocent killings of Palestine people. Er Rashid demanded that a resolution be passed in this regard.

Panther’s party member Balwant Singh Mankotia was marshaled out after he raised the ceasefire violation issue shortly after the commencement of the session.

This is the last session of the current assembly as elections to the new legislature will have to be completed before January 5 next year.
